I did the cam plate up grade on mine last year I went with the woods TW 555 R new lifters
had the heads ported and polished replaced the stock ignition module with a Daytona twin tec but mine is carbureted could not be happier runs strong and pulls hard

yea almost anything is better then the stock cams the only thing wrong with Woods cams is that they are a little pricy compared to some of the others out there
I settled on Andy's 26's for mine.. a little better in the 1800-2500 IMO, but no contest after that...
Most anything is better than the chokers HD had to put to please the EPA.....

Seconded here! Anything is better than the stock cams. Those things really do nothing to make the engine exciting.
I also went with the Andrews 26G cams and WOW did it wake up my 88! More low end grunt than it ever had before, and I don't have to worry about the cam chain tensioner pads. A win-win for sure
