have stock cams for an 02 88 removed one to replace shoe inner,where the the hell is the align mark on the pressed in cam ?,do i have to remove to see mark ??

The timing punch marks are on the inside face (cam plate side) of the sprocket; you can't see it. However, there are corresponding punch marks on the end of the cam shaft; you need to line those up to time the cams. Next step is aligning the front sprockets to time the cams to the crank.

Get yourself a service manual.

i had the same problem on my FLHRI 2004. i gave the cam plate to my brother to change the tensioners. he told me when he wanted to assemble and position the cams one of the cam had no mark!!! as he works in a HD workshop i was lucky there was just another TC88 where he could look and see how the second cam has to be positioned! even my brother did not know how this could happen. i know this does not help at all. except you know now you are not crazy.

unfortunately i´ve assembled my cam plate today. i could have made some pics for you. :-/

thanks guys,sorry such a late comeback on ur post,had to fly home for a wedding,left laptop in Fl,(winter home),i did see some marks ,but not dots like i'm used too !!,looks like steve wonder did these cams !! LOL !!
