Andrews 26N cam end play?
I'm installing Andrews 26N cams in a 2008 cam plate.
The 2008 Dyna service manual I got here
http://kt-trading.net/mcimport/mc/HD...anual.Dyna.pdf
describes how to eliminate (rear) camshaft endplay.
The Andrews installation guide
http://www.andrewsproducts.com/files...n_chain-01.pdf
mentions that it is very important to maintain a minimum of .008" - .012" endplay between both cams and the cam plate.
As for the front cam: with the .100 shim (as recommended by the manual) between the front cam and the snap ring, you ain't gettin' squat for end play.
Rear cam: since the 34T replacement cam sprocket sticks out past the rear cam, it's not possible to have any end play once you tighten down the sprocket bolt.
The crank sprocket has no shims/is as far in as it will go and I needed the .130" shim to even up the 2 sprockets.
I'm gonna try calling Andrews tomorrow, but I figured I'd get your 2 cents.
Help!
Please and thanks.
