FXCWC Rocker - Anyone ever installed a blank wheel on rear and custom on front?
I have a 2009 FXCWC Rocker and am wanting to look at putting on a 23" up front. Question I have is if anyone has ever put a chrome blank wheel on a bike with a custom wheel on front. It seems to be a waste for a custom wheel in back when you can't see how nice it is unless you have a driveside brake or single side swing arm. I am thinking with the solid chrome wheel on back will kind of create a cool look back there with the reflection. Haven't priced chrome blank wheels yet but it seems it may be also be a bit cheaper than full custom. Thanks for any responses.
I have been thinking of putting new wheels on mine. That idea of yours is interesting if you like the solid back wheel. Sometimes in the right setup it looks sweet. Then you spend your big dough on the front wheel, not bad...
You are right about not really being seen. On mine, I have a nice leatherworks bag and the belt guard, both block most on the left side. On the right you have the mufflers, brakes, rotor, which does most of that side also.
Might be able to find a deal on a solid wheel?
Good luck on your search.
I have a nearly solid wheel off of a Softail Custom that I had powder coated flat black on mine. I'm going with a 23" fat spoke up front eventually. I'm keeping the original look of the Deuce somewhat intact.
