Actually "Going Fast" isn't even a big priority for me, I was just surprised how slow the thing is. I guess I expected more since the Big Twin guys are always giving the Sporty rides ****...

Since I don't race or "hot rod" my bike, it's never seemed slow to me. All I care about is it getting me to where I want to go.

My Fat Boy's plenty fast enough when I am in the mood to ride it, which is when I want to chill out and take in the breeze. When I get to urge to be an organ donor I get the Buell out.

My last bike, a Heritage Classic was a complete Dog Dude! I also can't speak of the bike I have now, an 06 Deluxe because most the performance mods were done too the engine and tranny when I 1st got the bike that I have nothing to compare it too. I will say this though, I have swapped out a time or two so others could get the feel of my Shotgun shock and man, those stock 88's can barely get out of their own way. I couldn't wait to get back on my own bike.

I don't know that you want to or can afford it right now but that is why so many go to at least a stage one upgrade. If it were I and I was taking mine in to put a little zip in it I would HIGHLY recommend a cam too. The difference that you yourself will see and fill will be like night and day for you.

Yea I have an Arlen Ness Big Sucker on it's way, and just ordered my 39" cholo's, although the pipes will probably hurt me even worse.. ha! My softail is EFI so I will also be getting a power commander for when I swap out those parts. That's all I'll probably be doing for performance this year at least... I may not be fast but it will be a mean looking bike and definitely something you don't see too often...

To me, when stock even the 103 in my Fatboy Lo seems slow compared to my Dyna when stock. Pipes, intake, and a PV tune make all the difference in the world and wake the engine up

I bet Harley purposely builds these things de-tuned just to promote add on sales and dealer service sales... lol

Hey Low and Loud, there is one thing about your bike that makes your bike the most unique, the badest ***, meanest and prettiest bike that is seperated from any other bike here on this entire site and that is that IT'S YOUR'S and sitting in YOUR garage. It's as simple as that!!! Keep us posted on your upgrades then tell us what you think!
