You sound like the F-ing company safety director. "Now how could you have avoided that accident?" "Because in our stupid corporate world we know that every accident is avoidable."
Whatever shut up! He didn't ask for the lesson of the story just saying what happened when a jackass backed into him. Go teach ARC somewhere else.

Haha that is what I thought initially when reading that comment. But in his defense, I did think about what I could have done differently. There are a million what-if scenarios that I could have thought of, but what is done is done.

Two things:

1. This shows that 'always watching behind you' won't catch everything. I almost had the same experience except that when I saw the cage's backup lights, I hit my horn and he stopped.

2. In Vegas, the cops don't come out to make a report anymore unless there is an injury.

Like what if you gunned it, chucked a wheelie and jumped that cage like Machete when he jumps off nothing high into the air with the Gatling gun hanging off the front of his scoot, mowing everyone down as he comes down to land....man you really need to get your **** together and be ready next time, you could of had everyone at that intersection thinking holy **** look at this mad ****. That's winning

Just my 2 cents

Visually, this was the bulk of the damage.

Thanks for sharing your experience, and dam glad you are ok. What I will take from this is to 'still' leave more room than I think I need between myself and the vehicle in front of me when at a red light.

The most important part is you are ok, have the bike fixed and off you go. Happens to many of us...

Hard to believe that's all it was, and glad to hear you're OK...

So this yahoo stops at an intersection, decides he wants to be in another lane so he just throws it in reverse and hits the gas? what a freakin' dumbass...

We need to just remove all the warning labels off of everything, and let natural selection do it's job...
