what size apes with reckless fairing

what size apes with reckless fairing
so....
i'm ordering the k9s from br custom bars for my heritage w/reckless fairing. just got my fairing wired up and mocked up enough to measure out for the new bars. currently i have 16" apes that i love and are super comfy but don't work with the fairing. i'm use to riding with my bars near straight up but with fairing on i have to pull them back past the fork tube angle. not comfy. not aesthetically pleasing.
sooo....
i have sent br and couple email. i was originally going with an 11" rise but it seems the "teeth" will be hitting the splash guard at that height. now i'm thinking 14" but i'm not 100% confident that will look the way i want it to. originally i didn't want the top of that bars to go above the seam where the top of fairing meets the windshield. but at 14" it will be above that, i just really really don't want it above my 5.5" windshield now.
does anyone have those bars with a reckless fairing or any kind of fairing? any suggestions?
i've been wanting these k9s for a couple years now so im really excited to be ordering them.
