Hey guys got a quirky issue going on. Sometimes, when I hit the starter button, nothing happens. No click, no engage, nothing. But when I sit on the bike magically the starter fires up when I hit the button. Obviously I have a loose wire but I thought the starter button wire goes from the hand control to the starter relay which isn't directly under the seat. Anyone have an idea where to start.
I'd go one step further and remove the cables and clean the terminals with a small wire brush and apply dielectric grease then re-tighten everything. JMHO
both of those. i had an issue like that, was a loose battery cable. sounds like the pressure from your butt on the seat pushes the cable down. pull the seat and check.
since new in 07 the only time I had a miss and then she died.. Was due to Battery cable bolts loose at the battery.. tightened them up and nary a prob since.... Well till I had to replace the battery when it was 5yrs old.
