I just put the 3" slip ons with the 2.25" baffles on my 2013 Lo. When out riding today I noticed quite a bit of backfiring on decel. I've done just slip ons before without this issue. If I go with the 2" baffle will that fix the backfiring? I'm trying to avoid spending the money on a tuner.

It could be either a leak at the muffler clamp or you're running too lean. If it's the latter you may have to tune it out, or at least consider ViED's....
I had to go with the Stage 1 air cleaner and tuner using Vance&Hines slipons on my Fatboy to eliminate the deceleration backfiring, popping and farting...which in the long run I benefited from because I just installed V&H Staggered Big Shots and didn't have to do anything !!!
When I installed the Rush s-o mufflers on my Slim I had a lot of decel-poppin'. I went back and added about 20 additional f-p of torque to the clamps and it eliminated half of the pop. I traded the bike at that point and understand the new owner added a screaming eagle air intake and vied's. Supposedly, these changes all but eliminated the poppin'.
Put Rush slipons on my Lo 3 years ago and never had popping or any decel issues. Never used a torque wrench either. I do have an aftermarket AC but I never tuned it or anything. It runs great.
