Default Lindy bars.

Questions with regards to the Lindy crash bars so I hope someone can help and better yet, pictures. I have an 06 deluxe with the 39" Samson pipes and rear passenger running boards and a right side tear drop tool box. I have seen pictures and read threads about Lindy bars before but not from anyone with the same set up as I am currently running right now.

Can I use them on the rear the way I have my bike set up with these mods? Is there room with these pipes? Will they work with the tear drop box? Can I keep the rear floorboards if I use a Lindy Bar or do I have to lose those for the bar to bolt up? Thanks in advance for your time and pictures if anyone has any.

Tony, I don't have the exact setup you do, but, I do have Samson true duals, a right side toolbox and passenger footboards. I have a Heritage so I use the HD rear saddlebag guards.

I believe these are the rear guards you are referring to
http://www.lindbycustom.com/cart/pro...5&cat=0&page=1

Per these instructions
http://www.lindbycustom.com/assets/d..._204_13203.pdf

the upper mount replaces the footpeg so, for sure, you would have to lose the passenger footboards.

Looking at the bar, the upper part shouldn't be any larger than a foot peg so it should work with the toolbox. I believe the same holds true for the Cholos since the specs note that it works with pipes that are 2 1/4".

I haven't seen many bike pictures with this Lindby bar installed but let's wait and see the replies.

Just covered this 10 days ago Tony... in answer to your questions; yes, yes, yes, no. Here are the pics I posted...

Pipes stacked (together) measure 5 1/8". Each one of the pipes are 2.5" OD. The top is about 1/4" from the Lindbar, the bottom maybe 1/16th. HTH.

Hi @ all, a short question from my side reg. rear linbar:

as I understand Lindby does not offer a specific rear linbar for a deluxe 2014 model. That is, I didn't find any on the internet site. I got an offer for a rear linbar #201 these days. This #201 fits on older models. Does anybody know if this one will fit on my bike? Can I possibly adapt it to get it fit?

I still have the original exhaust system on, which will be changed in the next season to a crossover; at least that is the plan.

This rear linbar then will be used as passenger 'pegs'; I guess that is okay.

Thanks for any info.
