3rd Generation Corvettes are known as sharks.
I have a 69 corvette convertible.

Vanity plates and other forum screen names are all 69Shark.

OF course if you have a dirty mind like mine you can come up with other meanings . . . .

Got mine from my 7th grade metal shop teacher. I was the only kid in school that could duplicate things on the lathe. He told me "well it looks like you could turn out to be a real metal mangler". the 76 is for the year I started " mangling metal " professionally. God Bless You MR. Beltz.
