Ok. Just got my new ride about a week ago. I have put about 120 miles on it and am noticing a distinct valve tick. Happens at cruise speeds around town.

Question is if it is normal god this to occur. If it were solid lifters I would say the lash is wrong but these are supposed to be hydraulic.

I had similar "racket" when my '13 Slim was new.
At the 1K service interval I switched to synthetic and it all disappeared... FWIW.

 

These engines are "tickers". I can hear it quite clearly on both of my bikes, despite having pretty loud pipes. If you still have your stock exhaust, I reckon it seems pretty loud.

 

Yeah. 100% stock right now. Gonna do a stage 1 after breakin

Rule #2, You can't change rule #1.

 

It could simply be characteristic of the bike but it could also be a defective lifter. Talk to your dealer about it and document all conversation with the dealer.
