Well, they are talking about just removing the baffle, however, there is something further up in the line like a solid plate with a smaller hole right in the middle ( think big washer) to keep your back pressure I presume. No loss of power that I noticed, more in fact. Don't know what might be behind that. But it seems to keep the sound really deep instead of that harsh straight pipe tone. They are very loud though if you want them to be. Personally, I can't get enough of the sound! As far as with the baffles in, they're pretty close to what you hear on their web site video. I would post a video if I or anyone I knew was up to knowing how but I've tried and no cigar. I don't think it would do them justice anyway though 'cause the sound is just so BIG! I mean really big, not loud. Hope that helped maybe?
The Super Radius has a hidden crossover connecting the 2 pipes for more power and larger diameter mufflers. I just ordered a new set today with a tiny nick on one shield for $599. The other thing members aren't mentioning with these is it's my understanding they're set up for wide band sensors if I'm not mistaken. With the crossover and wide band tuned, hoping to squeeze some performance from them.
The next generation of radius style pipes has arrived in Super Radius, blending premium features, outstanding performance with Power Chamber technology and the looks of a custom exhaust.
Incorporated in the Super Radius, Vance & Hines has designed a new, revolutionary Super Bung dual mounting O2 sensor port allowing oxygen sensors mounting for narrow (12mm) and wide band (18mm) installation in a single V&H exhaust system.
•Deep, mellow tone, with sound inserts included for adjustability
•Full coverage heats shields
•Available in chrome
•Power Chamber Technology
apologies for not replying earlier, haven't been using the forum for a long time....
no adjustments required to install the super radius... and the only problem you might have is the rear pegs.... and you can solve that with a bracket or go a different direction like i did.....
and yes ... i have removed the inserts after i week... so it wasn't stuck yet.... and i love it...
