24 seconds should be enough if I am on a regular highway or street, but on a freeway of course, I'd have to go to voicemail unless I just happen to be very close to an exit.

The Breakout is intended to be a pretty "minimalist" model that mimics a dragbike as its inspiration, so no cigarette lighter or other equally functional 12 v accessory plug in the handlebar area.

Point I was trying to make was wire it to the ACC circuit so you can use the GPS with the bike battery instead of the GPS's battery.
From your posts, it appears that you are not planning on removing the 660 when parking your bike. Even with the “locking” mount it’s not going to take someone very long to remove your GPS.

For a permanent mount I used a "Tapp Lite" waterproof port. This has an inline fuse between the battery and the USB port and is rated at 1 amp for the iPhone.

They also make one that plugs right into your accessories plug...

Having the original battery charger cable still installed, I picked up a SABEUS-1 so my wife can plug her iPhone in and charge it as well. Works pretty good and I can toss it to a buddy in need during a ride as well. Again, plugging into the charger cable uses another inline fuse.

SABEUS-1

Hope this helps!
I had no idea all this stuff existed! Thank-you for the ideas!

Default Gps

When I am riding I really do not want to be getting phone calls most calls are bull shirt any way. Only time I want a call is an emergency. Most gps have a feature that when you shut down the ignition a message will come up asking if you want it to stay on. The unit has a battery in it which should keep it running a few hours if it's really old this time may be a lot less. I would not worry about loosing calls if the GPS is in decent shape it should give you the message. I can run mine with no power to it for hours as long as it's been used and charged or I can plug it in the house to a USB and charge it and run it wireless. Another thing you can do with most smart phones is give different friends a ring tone of there own this way with out looking you know who it is calling comes in handy . The other thing is if you miss a call and you pull over the number should be on your phone and you can call back. Thing I learned is if a call is important they will call back only people who never call you back are people that owe you.
