Default fatboy Big Radius Installation Problem

I just installed Big Radius 2into2 on my 2012 fatboy lo a few hours ago. I haven't put the air filter on(in the mail), nor tuned it(I will tmrw). When I started it up for a minute or so to see how it sounded the engine overheat light came on immediately and engine smoked a little. Is this because I haven't tuned it yet? Or did I do something wrong? I's appreciate any advice, since it kinda worried me.

The only things you mess with that would affect the bike are the O2 sensors. Have you checked those? If you messed up one of those on the install it'd definitely cause some issues.

There is nothing you could do to the exhaust itself that would cause the check engine light to come on right away. There has to be an issue with the o2 sensors like posted above, or you have unplugged something else likely.

24 V thanks, I remember when i pulled the exhaust out i pulled one of the wiresform the o2 sensor out from the plug and manually put it back in. That obviously ruined it. I ordered a new on today and will replace it before I run it at all.

Bummer, good luck. You should be able to put the wire back in if it just came out of the connector. Might need to buy a new pin though.

I ordered a new one...should be here in a few days. I tried putting the four little wires back into the tip but obviously it didn't work since it heats and has the heat light come on in about 10-20 seconds on start up.. the other o2 sensor I didn't mess up
