Default Vied install

Can anyone recommend where to ground the vied in the front of a 14 heritage. Wire that came with the vied isn't long enough to get to the battery

Use a couple of butt connectors and a piece of wire to get it to the battery.

Yeah, I would just extend the lead. I had one on my Deluxe for a while and the lead was plenty long.

edit: I just noticed you said front. I grounded mine to the bolt that holds the voltage regulator to the frame.

You can ground it on any frame bolt.

Ty DK. I placed it on the rear brake mounting bracket bolt.

On my Slim the connector for the front O2 sensor was behind the regulator, so I just ran that ground to the regulator mount bolt...

A waste of money. Just my opinion.

After a less than spectacular dealer "remap", my oil temps soared, decel pop was unbearable and my average MPG also climbed.
The ViED's cured all three problems, but I've since moved on to a V&H Fuelpak3.
In the end though, I was glad I chose the ViED's (variable) over the XiED's, which are not adjustable and essentially run wide open.
The ability to tweak the settings really paid off.

Here's my original ViED review from a year ago...
