Just put on V&H softail duals on my 06 Deluxe.Very nice pipes, fit and finish are outstanding. The sound with the stock baffles is very loud and I replaced them with quiet baffles which makes them sound much better IMO. The bike runs very good with these and the Andrews 37G cams, 3.37 gearing and 45 Mikuni carb on stock 88. So, winter mods are done and I'm ready to ride. Anyone getting these pipes make sure you check your parts list carefully as I was shorted some mounting bolts which V&H took care of immediately.
Pipes look GREAT....Thinking about going to true duels when I get tired of the Big shot longs....What kind of wheels are those????? Bikes looking awesome!!!!
I ordered the V&H duals like yours. However, the tips were back ordered. I too ordered the quiet baffles. I placed my order with American Classic Motors, $510.00 for the pipe set, free freight. Seams like a good deal. $50.00 for the pair of quiet baffles. Now go ahead & tell me you got a better deal & make my day better than it's been already.

Very nice bike, I really like the look of your deluxe.

Luxe,
What are you doing with your Roadhouse exhaust? I always thought those look classy on your ride and unique since hardly anyone was running them. Also, fit the style of the Deluxe perfectly.
Thanks Master Chief! I am a ret GMCS(SW) myself and enjoying the good life. Anyway the wheels are 50 spoke Fat Daddy from Drag Specialties. Luxe, I got about the same deal as you give or take a few bucks. It took about ten days for the baffles and tips to come in. The quiet baffles sound awesome on this exhaust! You won't be dissapointed.
I will likelyplace the Roadhouse pipeup for sale in anebay auction. I love the look of the Roadhouse pipe, a real attention getter. The sound is great as well. It is an awkward pipe to install, and the muffler has to be repacked every 3000 miles or so. I don't regret ever having purchased the Roadhouse set up, I think it best suits the Deluxe, but I'm due for a change.
Your bike looks great. The new pipes and those bars are sharp. I'd like to know what the license plate mount is. I just picked up my new 07 Deluxe last week, and that's one of the mods I'll be making. All the mounts I've seen have some big light attached to them. Yours is very clean looking.
Unfortunately for me, I have a brand new ride in the garage and I'm pretty much living at work for the next six weeks. I work at a power plant, and we're shut down for refueling. The up side to all that work is plenty of money for customizing. This site has given me a lot of great ideas, and your bike is one of them. Great looking ride.
