So one thing I've noticed as Ive worked to tame the vibrations and ride on my softail is the market seems to be missing something.
There are pretty decent handgrips available, and if you keep up with your bar rubber isolators yours hands feel very little vibration. A seat goes a long way as well.. but where I have found a potential for a new product is the floorboards.. even with a 6 speed, at 70 mph my feet feel like they are gonna vibrate off the bike.. in fact, they do.. and my tire pressures are good.. this is strickly engine vibes to the floorboards..
Im surprised someone hasnt come up with something in this area. I bought some new kuryakyn floorboard inserts and frankly they are worse than stock.. Ill probably go back to stock inserts.. but I would think something could be done where they attach to the frame.. like some hydraulic engine mount type devices..
Anyone have any comments on this? Im pretty happy with the ride of my softail now that I put the suspension back to stock and spent some serious money on a seat.. air shocks would be another step but air shocks will not help with floor board vibes..
Perhaps its because mine has been modified.. I think its a 95".. But ive seen plenty of people comment about the floorboard vibes. And yes my 06 is balanced.
