The top tree on the Deuce has cutouts that the risers fit into - that is to say that the bottoms of the risers on a Deuce are not flat, they have projections that fit into shallow holes in the top of the triple tree. That means that if you want to use Deuce risers on another bike you have to grind off those protrusion or get adaptors. I see the adaptors to put other risers on a Deuce for sale on E-Bay regularly for just a couple of bucks bucks but I've never seen another pair of risers as nice as the ones that come stock on a Deuce so they seem like a silly purchase to me.
By the way, I turned 60 a couple of weeks ago and have had a bad back since a childhood accident. With these bars my back actually feels better after riding a couple of hundred miles than before - I wish I could say the same thing for my butt.
Bars that come back to meet your hands feel comfortable while sitting on a bike that isn't moving, but once a 60MPH breeze is hitting you in the chest, they become very UNcomfortable, very fast.
I went with the Screamin' Eagle Deuce set up, and for me, they're absolutely perfect. They have less pullback than stock Deuce bars.
I'm a big guy at 265, and I can ride all day long..
