I have a faulty switch on my 98 Fatboy...I removed it from the console to clean it..as I was removing the bottom plate it slipped from my hand and opened on my bench in about 10 pieces...I have all the components but don't know the proper location. Can anyone point me to a schematic that can show me the detail of the switch??
I have a 2005 Softail service manual.
On page 8.14 it shows the switch removed from the dash panel. It does not break down the switch to it's separate components.
It states that the switch is non-repairable. Your model year may be different.

Good luck,

Thank you for the quick reply...will order a new one
Don't attempt to repair the switch. Replace it. You can purchase one from JP Cycles which is higher quality and a cheaper price than the HD OEM. It will include 2 new keys.
