If HD had come out with the Olive colored Springer when I bought my '06 Heritage, there's no doubt in my mind thatI would have paid the extra $ for the Springer. That color, especially on the Springer Classic, is awesome!
Solid Olive Pearl Fat Boy here. Love the color. The new red color almost made me start asking about it at the dealer, but no way would I ever part with my honey!
Nice bike. Same color/modelas mine.I'm just too busyat work/not computer savvy enough to post pics. Two questions for you. Did you decide to scrap the whitewall look? Iwas goingputwhites on mine, but they just didn't look as good as the solid blacks. Have you scraped your fishtails? Thanks.
I mounted the white walls, but did not care for the look. Wanted to keep it Olive, black, and of course chrome.
Before slamming the a$$ end, I used to just scrape the floor boards. Now that it is lowered, I scrape everything (fish tails, exhaust mounts/brackets, floorboards, and frame) It is lowered as far as it will go. I can raise it w/ a few turns of a wrench if I opt to. If I take it easy on her...it WILL NOT scrape though.
Please post pics of your when you get a chance. I always enjoy seeing everyone elses.
Questions for all who own an Olive Pearl or Olive Pearl/Black model:
Are you former military?Did this influence your color choice?
If not, what made you make your color choice?
Myself, I'm former USMC, so the color is cool, but it also has that old school hotrod look. I actually went to buy a Blue and Silver FLSTSC in April '06, but the salesman(Tom at Williamsport, MD HD-excellent sales/service/parts) convinced me to wait after he let mee see the 07 color choices. Anyway, I felt likeTom did me a solid, even though I had to wait til Septemberbecause I made out(96/6spd), and got the color I wanted at about $1k under MSRP
