Default Heritage Q's??

I recently bought a heritage and the rear fender needs painting.

1st question
I eventually want stretched hard bags so

How much would I need to stretch the rear fender to match 4" stretched bags?
I want it even or real close to it?

How much is a stock fender that needs painting worth?
I'm going to buy another one to chop up

Thanks micah

My answers to your questions:

Question:

Answer:
Get the stretched bags before you stretch the rear fender.
The possibility exist that you will change your mind on the look before you buy the bags.

Question:
How much is a stock fender worth that needs painting worth?
Answer:
As much as one is willing to pay, but frankly I wouldn't think much.
What's a new fender worth? I'd say the old one would be worth no more than 20% of the new cost.

I want the fender stretched either way.
I only have the money for the fender now.
I just want it close.

A new painted fender is $800

I've got a buddy with a fender
I was trying to find a fair price to offer.
He was actually gonna give it to me but I'd rather give him something.
