A vote for no here. Personally I don't like the looks with the engine guards. I only 5'6", so I don't need highway pegs.I spent my money on other mods and more to come.
I really like the idea of an Engine Guard to guard the engine and other parts in the event of a drop, but I don't like the look and I'm to short to use them to stretch out. So no Engine Guard on my Fatty. I like the FatBoy for it's stripped down less is more look. I vote no.
Demkay, what is that riders backrest you have there? Will it work on a Heritage?
Nice Timing and Derby cover.
Thanks. As for the rider's backrest, it was made by a friend of mine. He made the bar and then I put some foam around it and then another bud made the leather to go round the foam. I don't actually use it to much, as it 's a little too far back, but it's excellent for my passenger, .....it keeps them tight in there; and when I break; they don't lunge forward onto me which is a nice change.
If I'm feeling real lazy I'll lay right back and use it though, sometimes on the bigger roads, If there's not much else to do.
