I'm looking to upgrade the exhaust on 2014 Slim. Looking for a quieter exhaust and am leaning towards big shot staggered with quiet baffles - but I wanted some info on Supertrappp.
Is their whole line quieter or just the megatrap?
Would performance be comparable to something like a big shot staggered?
Is the volume really any lower that big shots staggered with quiet baffles?
Any other input would be greatly appreciated.
Looking for performance, without being the loud ******* neighbor.
I just went from pipes with quite baffles to supertrapp supermeg. Supertrapp is much quiter & very deep sounding from a distance (had my buddy ride it around the block) - - it definitely sounds different standing next to it than it does from a distance . Low/mid power is way up. I am running closed end cap - - an open end cap would be louder. I'm not really crazy for the looks of the supermeg but the performance and much quiter sound more than makes up for the look.
I have suppertrapp mean mothers on my 04 fatty, ...she woke up with them, but woke everyone else too, in 3rd at 50mph, my buddy says he can hear me hauling in the next town over, I can set car alarms off, and unfortunately get 600$ tickets for too loud...that said, they, to me, caused more porwer than v&h , suppertrapp also has adjustible baffles, ...take them out, cut a 1/2 inch putem in see if u like it, takem out cut another 1/2 inch exc.....I do not know about the ones your asking, but, noise aside, I vouch for supperrrapp
