My brother has 2007 night train that has bent the axle 4 times and he has broken 4 belts. Just wanted to know if anyone has seen anything similar or knows what might be causing it to happen. He is thinking about having the swingarm milled out to fit a 1 inch axle when he can get the money together.
Well he does ride it pretty rough but there has to be something wrong somewhere. He likes to do burnouts and stand on his seat running 40mph down the road and would do wheelies on it if it were possible.
Axles just dont bend from hard riding cuz mine would be twisted if that was the case.
There is more to the story than hard riding and burnouts.
4 broken belts? Thats absurd. Something is out of alignment or 1 of the 2 pulleys, or both is severely worn with sharp edges.
Did he put the wheel spacers back in after replacing the belt the first time?
