Spring seats are very comfortable...but, like said, no backrest. When I'm going all day on the spring seat I strap something to my sissy bar that doubles as a backrest.
I put the H-D one on my blackline (same setup as the Slim) in hopes of helping my back issues. I will say its a comfortable set-up, especially over the stock blackline seat. Unfortunately it didn't quite do what I hoped it would for my back issues (that had nothing to do with the seat though). If you do decide to go that route, I have the whole H-D spring seat setup for sale under the "softail classifieds" section.
