Hi all,
I have put off buying a back rest and luggage rack for a few yrs and decided I want to buy one and found the luggage rack is discontinued. Any one know where I could have some luck finding a luggage rack other than eBay/craigslist? Any deuce owners here have one they want to get rid of?
Thanks!
Jon
The rack is narrow, has a convex shape, this complicates securing stuff to the non existent hard points. The backrest I have is the quick disconnect and it is OK and can be used without the rack but not the other way around. I seldom ride two up so backrest unneeded weight and only once in 7 years used the rack two up plus bags...but you never know what life brings.
You might cruise the for sale part of the forum....somebody may have them.
Won't sell luggage rack but might consider selling the stock '07 Deuce w/ luggage rack and windshield included.
I wouldn't sell my 07. It's a "rare" bike per say... Only yr model deuce with the 96ci and the lowered rear suspension..I'm sure that means nothing for resale but to me it does...
As for the rack and lower backrest. Are u guys able to put a decent size bag on it for a weekend trip? The wife and I have wanted to do a weekend trip on the bike for a few yrs just lack a way to take anything with us other than her wearing a backpack...
The sticker that comes on the rack says 7lb limit. Don't know if that helps much. I never have mine on the bike. it took a bit to find it at a price I wanted to pay. I found one unused on CL
