Default V&H Pro pipe question

Putting a pro pipe, s&s stealth air cleaner, remapping with power commander. My only question is do I need to do anything else like a stage one kit. I was looking at thunderheader but the shop I go to really recommends V&H over them for build quality. Gonna run about $1,800.00 so I wanna do it right the first time. Thx

What do you mean by stage one kit? HD stage one download? If you are getting a power commander, then no you dont need it. $1800 sounds like way too much for exhaust, AC, and PC tuner. You should be able to get all three for under $1k. Labor at Indy would charge between 2-3 hours or roughly $200-$300. That leaves $500-$600 extra out there for your mechanics trips to the strip club.....lol

As far as V&H pro pipe vs thunderheader.....Pro pipe is very nice and clean and the quality of it is top notch. Thunderheader is mean and loud, but I just don't like the way it looks and the quality of it is the lessor of the two.

I had the dealer install my
propipe= about 800
SE pro tuner = about 500
Dyno =3-400

I purchased a SE velocity intake from a forum member for 150 but they are 350 new so 1800 isnt that bad if everything is new because all my pipe, tuner and tune were 1600$ without the intake.

Doing the pipe, air intake and tune is a stage one. Order the pipe and intake yourself online and install yourself (if you're handy enough to start your bike you can install these) and order a power commander already tuned from Fuel Moto. Plug and play.

Save yourself a shitload of money and be happy

This is what I'm doing and it'll be less than $800 bucks (but I like the V&H short shots, add about $300 for the pro pipe).

V&H propipe from fuel moto is under $600 and if you add their fuel moto billet intake and power commander V you will still be under $1K. Call them and they will give you a good package deal. He didn't mention the Dyno, but that will bring the price up as will stealer labor.

Thanks for the insight fellas. Yeah I'm new to the harley world so I'm a bit confused on the stage one thing.
