Default Fatboy Shock stems

I just bought a 2004 Fatboy and evidently the previous owner installed a lowering kit on it and I want to take it back to stock. The lowering kit appears to be the installation of a longer stem and spacer on the original shock. This is my first Fatboy so I thought I'd check and see if anyone out there has done the same thing and wants to sell the old original stems from the factory shocks. I'm not even sure this is right. A lot of this is guessing on my part. I know it sits too low and I know it has a spacer and a long stem on the shocks so I'm assuming that is what was changed out to lower it. Any help on pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated. I am just trying to get everything working again and don't want to spend the money on Progressive's or even new Harley shocks if I can help it. I appreciate any help or thoughts.

All "Lowering Stems" that I've seen have a long enough thread on the shaft to set the bike at stock height. You may not need to change them out, just re-adjust them.

pull the spacer out... that may get you to stock.

if not, try turning the "stems" back into the shock body. Remember on softails, shorter shocks= taller seat

It looks like you may be right man. Thanks, I just assumed they had to be changed out.

I'll try removing the spacer first, then turning it in if that doesn't work. Thanks for the tips.
