Default Rear axle nut socket size

Need to remove the rear wheel on a 2014 slim and didn't have a large enough socket. Size isn't in the manual but heard from a few guys a 30MM bit is the size, grabbed one and it slips - did searched on here, but got conflicting info.

What size bit do I need?

30mm is almost 1 3/16" so if it slips try 1-1/8" American Standard.

Seams to me my Harleys are 1 1/2" US and you would never get that 30mm on the nut.

Usually the rear axle nut is 36mm.

Just had my rear wheel off this week for new Michelin Commander, right side is 1-1/8", left side I used my really large metric adjustable wrench, no slips.
