For what it worth, I put risers on my bars. (4"). I think the wrist problem might stem from the angle of your bars more than anything. These are adjustable. I had problems with my upper back after at least 200 miles or so. I found I was leaning too far forward and when I started getting tired, my posture would go (thus the shoulder problem). After a week of riding, I used to hardly be able to lift my left arm above my shoulder. Big time cramping! After my risers were installed, that problem all but went away. I found it much better for my back and posture not to mention I have carpal tunnel syndrome and it affect my hands (ususally go numb) Even that condition is better after installing my risers.

Wild 1 Chubby Beach Bars are nice. I orginally had the Wild 1 Knuckle bars.

the original handlebars on my Heritage was the angle of the wrists, the new ones are 3"higher and the angle is less so my wrists are more straight and doesnt point my elbows towards my ribs at all. very comfortable.

Earlier today I put some 4 1/2 pullback risers on my FatBoy (Küryakyn 1726). What a difference! I am 5'7" and the pullback made my arms way more comfortable. I didn't have to mess with any of the lines/cables (stock were just long enough). Now I just need to get some miles on them
