I did the install. It took some time, but it's not hard. You just have to go slow and get everything lined up, then tighten all the bolts down. It took me about 6 hours to go from taking off the old headlight and triple tree covers to getting the new Nacelle in place and hooked up. Just make sure you get the Nacelle Hardware kit if you have the Auxilary Lamps and windshield. It includes all the bolts and spacers you will need for any kind of setup. That's half the fun anyway, do it yourself and save a few bucks.
True enough, but with the passing lamps you need about five hands to get everything lined up right. I found that by leaving the bolts on the sides loose (or just finger tight) and installing the headlamp adapter ring first, everything lined up a lot easier. Also, since I don't have a windscreen, I didn't get the right size spacers for the passing lamp installation, or long enough bolts for the sides at the top triple tree. I had to improvise... But it's not a tough install at all.
Question on the headlight nacelle; I'm looking for a windshield to fit 03 fatboy with nacelle and passing lamps. Looking for something cheaper than HD because I will not use it that much. Used if possible. Problem is that you can find them all day long for stock headlight, just not with the nacelle and passing lamps. Any suggestion?
Yes, It's $400 and I got three in a row that had bubbled chrome straight off the dealer shelf! We had to open four boxes and picked two different halves to make a clean set.. So Quality is quality OEM or Aftermarket...
