Custom Wheels - Help please!!!
ORIGINAL: George C
When buying wheels remember, you get exactly what you pay for.
Stay away from cast wheels like HD's cheaper line. Castmay fail under blunt stress. Cast has numerous pits, is very porous and has less strength because of the casting process..
Go with a forged billet. Forging squeezes out all of the imperfections of the billet, and the aluminum becomes much more dense, strongerand flexable under the incredible pressure of forging.
Just a few tips.

As George has explained above, forged is FAR superior to cast wheels. Have no fear though, because the 8 spokes ARE forged. I would never make my wheels out of anything but the 6061-T6 forged aluminum. Not worth the risk.
I read above that you placed your order, congrats!!!! My only questions was, did you go with a 19" or 21" in the front?
I am a bit biased towards the 21" myself.
