Default FXSTC seat

Anyone running Mustang seats on their Softail Custom? I know most people that have them really like them (as did I when I put one on my sporty). I'm more concerned about how it affects riding position. At 6'3" I really do not want to be any further forward than I am now. I was looking at the 76404 Super touring seat.

Sorry, I'm still with stock seat for the reasons you mentioned. It's pretty comfy and not shaved down like most custom seats. Heck, if anything from comfort perspective I'd rig up a police tractor seat saddle. LOL.

I have a mustang seat on my fxst that has the backrest. I took it off and the metal insert inside the seat hits my tailbone and after about an hour causes pain. The seat looks like a stock heritage seat. Looks comfortable but is not. Still looking for a replacement.

It is to bad the old EVO Softail Custom seat will not fit the later bikes. I am 73 years old and My butt is as happy as can be even after hours.

Not exactly the same, but I have a Mustang Wide Super Touring One-Piece Vintage Seat on my Standard, and it appears to have dropped the seat height slightly, and moved me backwards about 2-3 inches. Much more comfortable than stock.

I have a mustang on my Night Train and it definitely puts me a little higher and forward. It's got firmer padding (a good thing) so I don't sink into it as much as I did the stock seat. Worth the trade off to me, the stock one got uncomfortable after a half hour or so. I can ride all day in the Mustang and be comfortable.

I have the Mustang wide touring seat on my '08 FXSTC and I'm 6'6". Of course I have 3" extensions on the forward controls. The seat may put you forward a little, but the comfort is worth it. Can ride for hours without the butt pain.

La Pera here. I have both the bare bones solo and Cherokee (king/queen) style.

The Cherokee is the most comfy seat I have ever owned and it brings you back and down into the bike.
