My guess is you haven't gotten a direct answer yet because no one has ponied up the cash to dyno a bike for just an AC. I sure as hell wouldn't.

It's easy enough to swap air filters on the dyno to see...heck I swapped a stock intake for a FAST intake with my Vette strapped on the dyno....an air filter swap is a lot easier.

I'm guessing nobody has done it because it would show no gain and thus, they wasted their $150! lol

Here you go. http://www.sscycle.com/uploads/sales...ts_2012_lr.pdf

They're claiming 1.5 ft/lb increase in torque over stock air cleaner. I would imagine that the stock exhaust outflow isn't maximized and is able to accommodate the larger volume of air intake.

I don't know many people who just upgrade the air cleaner for performance. Standard wisdom is do the Stage I and do it right. Of course everyone has their own version of right for them. Depends on a lot of things. I wanted overall improvements in performance with attention to low end torque, looks, sound and reliability.

Bones, thanks much, that is exactly what I needed and answers my question.

I already did pipes and the tuner - I hypothesized that adding the stage 1 air cleaner was not worth $149 (I'd keep the stock cover) and this dyno sheet confirms my suspicion.

Thanks for posting it.
