this has probably been covered before, but i cant seem to find it in the search bar. i want a set of saddlebag guards for my deluxe, preferably springer guards. with that being said, what is the difference between 97-99 guards, and 00-03 guards. thanks!

 

I don't have a Lux.. but without getting an answer in here and I don't know...

maybe a call or trip to you dealer Parts Dept will help ya

 

You also might be able to find the difference via the Harley website....you can load in the specific bike and it will filter what will fit.

The Evo 97-99 guards had 1/2 mounting holes on the bottom frame side. The 00-up have 3/8" mounting holes. The 00-up are still available at the dealer. If your seeing 97-99 guards on eBay for a cheap price they are most likely not genuine HD parts and a cheaper made knockoff version.
