What other models were you seriously considering when you decided on the Breakout? And/or what did you have before and would buy next?
For me this is my first Harley and to be honest, the Breakout is the only model that I was really interested in. Before that I had metric cruisers (absolutely no comparison to my Breakout)
I had a Blackline that I thought I was happy with. Until I saw a Breakout in front of every dealer on a road trip. Traded the Blackline in on the Breakout less than a month after I got home.
i was impressed with the vrod, but after riding it, then riding the breakout, the choice was instantly clear. bought it that day and don't regret a thing...other than wishing i had a fairing. lol
I never considered anything else in the dealership. The breakout was the only bike for me. It is my first harley and I didn't take it for a ride around the block or anything first. Just handled the keys to my CBR over and took the breakout home. no regrets.
It was down to the Slim or the Breakout, but really it didn't take much thought as the Breakout just steals the show for me. I've had the Buells and Metric bikes over the years but never a Big Twin Harley. This Breakout just fits me like no other bike I've had. It's my baby, heck I don't even like people standing close to it. If I had the money I'd buy another just to have two of them....

HAHA. Funny. Yeah, the only thing even "remotely" close for me was the Slim but that wouldn't have been enough for me to make a purchase. Amazing how many times I get stopped in the parking lot or at lights with people just lovin the look of the Breakout.
I hadn't ridden in 20 years and decided I wanted a new one. I looked at a breakout at a dealer first but it seemed to long for me since I'm short so looked at a slim. I found this CVO at another dealer while I was looking around and feel in love with it. The dealer showed me some different things and we were able to make it work nicely. I'm very happy with it. Don't want anything else.
