Welcome. If you haven't done the MSF safety course take the time to do it. Get ready to bitch slap your checkbook and ride, ride, ride.

Oh and you must post pics when you pick it up!

I'm not new to motorcycles, but I am taking the course to get my endorsement, I figure more training cant hurt, I also plan on taking the intermediate course after the bike is broke in. Will post pics when I pick it up next month.

Congrats on the new bike. You made an excellent choice in my (biased) opinion.

Make sure you ask the dealer before you ride off with it: to note that you are concerned about the Fatboys Stock Seat Flaps rubbing against the back fender. And in the future that if it does rub they will provide a fix....

Other than enjoy the ride

Themanual says to use the kill switch to shut the engine off. When and if you use the kill switch, remember to turn your ignition switch off.
Make sure your jiffy stand is all the way forward and locked in place. When you move your bike even a little bit, make sure to re-lock the jiffy stand in place.

Good point, I noticed that when you try to straighten the front while on the jiffy, she tends to roll forward abit.

Please pay attention to this, don't learn the hard way like I and so many others have.

If you change pipes and A/C, get a fuel managment system (PCIII, SERT, DFO, etc), don't spend $200 on the factory download from a dealer. Another lesson learned the hardway.

Good luck, great choice.
