I looked at the Andrews 48 too but most of what I read is that it was designed for the 96 and the 57H was designed for the 103. Came close to gettin the 57H before I decided on the Wood 222

I had harley do my stage 1 & 2 on my 2014 Breakout 103"
SE255
The V&H 2 in 2 sounds beauty and she pulls hard enough for my likin, I'm not a speed demon so I'm happy with the way she yanks me to 140k by the time i'm in 3rd. had a buddy take her for a spin and he was very surprised at how hard it pulls.
Depends on what kinda power you'll be happy with, low end, mid or top end.

Standard HD performance cam. Works as well as any that doesn't need head work.

Who fed you that line of BS?

Not saying the Wood 222 isn't a great cam, but the Andrews 48 is recommend by proven twin cam engine builders to be the biggest bang for the buck for a 103 with a Stage 1.

BTW - IMO, anyone that chooses an HD dealer to build a decent twin cam for them using SE parts, should really do more homework. If you find a 'decent' SE cam, you can always find a better one from one of the big aftermarket builders (Woods, Andrews, S&S, etc.)

The 222 and 48 are very similar..........there is a dyno on another forum that shows the 48 with headwork and a little more compression. A stump puller that still goes a little past 5k.

I've been doing a lot of research and will continue to do so, but as of right now, I think I'm going to either go with the Andrews 57H or Woods TW-777 as they were designed for the 103 and have good low to mid-range and have a long pull and both get really good reviews and feedback.

Recent print ads for the 57 show and recommend a 30 tooth front pulley..........

I have the SE255's in my 2011 Fat Boy Lo (96" motor) it was a vast improvement from the basic stage 1 which in my case was SE Ventilator and V&H Big Shot Staggered. A good dyno tune goes a long way to make it all work, the SE map could use a lot of improvement. Rode about a year on the SE map, which was better than the basic stage one, but after I had it dyno tuned it was a whole different animal. Are they the absolute parts out there? Maybe not, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

.575 lift cam is a lot for stock heads, just saying.
