Default Another high speed wobble thread...

I have a 2007 Night Train and I am having issues with excessive wobble at higher speeds. I have read several threads on this topic but cannot find an answer. I'll list every possible variable I can think of that may be causing this and hopefully someone can chime in and help me out.

As stated the bike is a 2007 NT, it is lowered in the back with bolts and it has the HD inverted (48646-06A) fork kit up front. I considered lowering the front end as a solution but there are no lowering springs for 58mm forks that I have found. The bike also has 14" Carlini Gangster Apes w/poly bushings, a billet front wheel and factory 6 hole rear wheel. I put brand new bearings in the wheels this year when I powder coated the rims over the winter. I have brand new Metzeler ME880's on the front and rear, and they were balanced with weights, not the internal beads.

The bike is solid up to 80mph. Between 85-90mph I start getting a good swaying motion going on. This continues to about 95mph which is where I back off. Revving down it stabilizes at about 80mph.

I don't routinely ride that fast but I'm concerned that I'm experiencing this. I bought the bike two years ago, and it had everything done to it except the bars. Some say its the added height of the bars but I can't confirm nor deny that because I was pretty cautious my first year and didn't get it up that fast with the drag bars on it, and changed the bars out that winter. I took her out yesterday and opened it up; same thing. I was very mindful not to over grip the bars so I could eliminate that as a cause.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It's a Harley meant for occasional throttle twist above the sound barrier. The rear is lowered buy not the front. You have apes on it. Your body is like a sail and is taking weight off the front end as your reach warp speed.

At some point during the modifications the wobble increased I assume. If it's that bad of an issue remove the mod or live with it.

Yes, I have read that many times and while it does make sense, some of the things I have read in the thread below make me think twice.
