I picked her up Sunday after trading in my '14 Forty-Eight Sportster after 4 months. I knew this was going to happen, just didn't realize it was going to be this quick. This bike rides so much better than the Sporty. Not as flickable, but easier on the bumps, and the power delivery is super smooth.
These floorboards can spoil a person.
I got a great deal on one of the last '14 on the floor. It was between this and a Softail Slim, which I couldn't quite fully accept. The Hollywood bars and that cross brace didn't do it for me, but otherwise, a sick lookin' bike. I'm also proud to have ABS on this and not having to use a key all the time to start the bike. It was worth the price of upgrading. Now I just need to ride the hell out of it.
The other thing is, I was into the whole blacked out theme, but now I have a fresh canvas to start over with, with a much better bike. I can see why they sell a lot of these models.
Nice choice. Every time I take my FB out I realize that I made the right choice for my kind of riding. Bike is great in town and good enough for average highway blasts.
The FatBoy was the right choice for me too. Great around town and with the detachable bags and luggage rack I have taken it on a couple of 2000 miles plus trips.
