sending out seat next week to have all reworked.....memory foam and gel installed inside factory seat cover....so it won't hurt my back...had it done to my Suzuki TL1000R on front and rear seat and is most comfortable seat I have ever been on....better then the Corbin's I have owned....so this SE seat will be very comfortable....also ordered the rear OEM Screamin Eagle rear seat pad to go with it too....it is going to have memory foam and gel installed in it too.....want the Wifey comfy comfy means no naggy naggy
what bolt would I get from HD...I have the really nice thumb screw/bolt and would like same one just longer....the one I have is too short
This is a great question. I have already been to 2 different local dealers for the bolt. Both times they told me, no problem it would work. Both times the bolt they gave me has been too short. So its time for one more trip back and hopefully we can get it right this time.

Guys, you need a one inch long button head bolt that is 1/4x20 threads. You also need a plastic washer and a chrome washer to make it look really nice and keep from scratching the chrome up on the tail of the seat.
Thanks. I knew the 1/4x20 threads already, but wasn't sure on the length. I have the chrome and plastic washers but the last bolt was just a little short. I hope to remedy this soon.
banginTwins, you might want think twice about that rear passenger pillion for your wife for that seat. I had it and it is very narrow, after one ride my girlfriend told me to get rid of it.
lol Roysays....yeah that's my point with the Wifey...I hope she refuses to ride on it so she will stay on her own bike lol....she won't like that thin little pad up her ***.....smokin bike by the way....I love it!! And Roysays where did you get the bolt to hold down your SE seat tail?
then thats a good idea with the seat, LOL
when I bought my bike that seat was on it along with the bolt. you should be able to do a internet search for chrome bolts and find something.
Finally made it to the dealer for my bolt. The guy looked it up and said its a 1 1/4" 1/4x20 thread. Of course don't forget to make it chrome to match the tail piece. Ok sounds good. Come to find out this is the only place Harley uses this dimension bolt in chrome with the low profile head, so it is now ordered. I should pick it up on Monday. For just being one little bolt, this has been a pain to get the right one. Oh well, its on its way, and so is riding season.
