Added a set of Progressive 422 shocks to drop the rear....I found the headlight in the HD parts catalog, i had been searching for one for a while. I wanted something longer then the stock one, itmatches my turn signals and the flow of the bike.
ORIGINAL: Crazy Canuck
Very nice BD!!
The front end is awesome. I'm liking that headlight.
Was your bike already lowered in the rear or did you
just do it recently??
Very nicely done.[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]
Just got back from the wedding and honeymoon. I have to say...It sucks coming back to reality. I had to catch up on everything I missed during the last two weeks. What a disappointment it is to see that Hawgfoot lost BOTM. I can't say that I'll quit voting for other bikes though. Some people put a lot of thought, time, and money into their bikes and if it's deserving of a vote, I'll give them mine. I'll vote the way BOTM was designed to. For the bestbike. Not who has the most people that ride that type of bike.I liked the idea of having a Deuce of the month. I think there are plenty of nice bikes in here to have our own contest. At least then we would know the voting was fair. If that winds up happening, I would like to be the first to nominate Blue Deuce. The new mods you did your bike look awesome. I love the new dropped rear end and the new front end. It really gives the bike a stretched look. I have to agree with what Deuce Dude said. "very nice!! looks like a deuce should....bad@ss!!!"
Thanks guys! The wedding was a blast. Couldn't have turned out nicer. The honeymoon was at Caesars Cove Haven in the Poconos. That place is awesome. I recommend it to anyone looking for a place to honeymoon or go for anniversary. It's going to be hard going back to work after having two weeks off. But I guess the fun had to end sometime. Nice thing is that my company has every other Friday off and this Friday happens to be my off Friday. So it will be a nice four day work week. And Friday morning I'm heading to Myrtle. I'm really lookin forward to seeing all the awesome bikes and look at more possibilities for mine.
Yea they got the both the punks.Driver got 5 felony charges passenger got two. They had drugs in the car.Think the bike is going to the shop today and will know in a few days if its repairable or what. Will stay in touch
Sorry to hear about you getting hit but at least you weren't seriously injured. The bike is replaceable, you aren't. Hopefully you will be able to fix the bike up good as new. Just make sure there is no frame damage. Let us know how you make out.
Thanks NY; that looks good. I wouldn't mind having a little more weight to the front end. What do you run on the back?
How does the bigger front tire affect the ride and handling, if any?
I run a 180x55x18 Metzeler 880 on the rear. I think the wider front tire gives you a more stable feeling because it seems to grip the road better, especially in the twisties. It also doesn'ttrack in the road grooves/ruts as much because of the extra width. I'm glad I decided to step up toa 120 tire on the front.
