Hello all. Long time listener, first time poster!! I have to say, there are A LOT of awesome bikes in this thread. Here are a couple pictures of my 2008, Pearl Black Train. This is my first Harley and I FREAKIN' LOVE IT!! I ride every chance I get here in Western KY. Also would like to say thanks to all for the great ideas I have gotten from this forum. I am thinking about changing the front and rear fender sometime down the road. I love the chopped rear fender look. Any ideas from you fine folks here would be more than welcome. Thanks all.....
The wheels pictured above are from RC Components. Name is the "czar" I think a few members have them on their baggers, not sure if any Train guys do though. About $2700 for front and back wheels, 2 rotors, and a pulley. Deciding whether or not to do that now or add an extended fender like black bike I had that caught fire (picture above).
Also, as far as apes go- I have 12.5 inch. not the highest but very comfortable. Wouldnt mind an inch or 2 higher. Im 6' tall and with my 3" forward control; extension its a good fit.
You guys think the apes are comfortable for long trips as in a couple hundred miles? Just wondering because I am thinking of buying, can't beat the look!
i like mine fine. mine come to the top of my shoulders. i think anything higher than my shoulders would be tiresome. if you have a seat you can stay in for a couple of hours straight, then the apes are not going to be a problem.
