I did some wrenching over the long-A winter we've had and finally took some pics today figured I'd share. Upgrades are Shotgun Shock and Rough Crafts Headlight grill. New DNA super spoke brake rotors are on the way Can't wait to get rid of the stock ones. Pretty happy about the way it turned out so far.
I just picked this bike up last week. The original owner put new whitewalls on it right before trading it in. It also had an Arlen Ness air cleaner and Vance & Hines Big Radius exhaust. He put pretty much every Willie G skull collection part on the bike: axle covers, pegs, mirrors, grips, etc. It's nice stuff, but not my thing and I'd like to de-chrome it a little.
So new pegs, grips, mirrors, and covers are ordered and on the way. I'm going to keep it simple and go with a white and black thing here. I bought a gloss black powder coated HD Motor Co. derby cover and used white paint to fill in the engraving. I LOVE the way it turned out. I also put on some white spark plug wires today. The only other thing planned really is to have an upholstery shop add white piping to the seat, pillion and back rest pad.
I miss my Springer Street Bob as I invested a lot of energy into that bike. The new owner is too attached to sell it back to me 2 years later. But I'm REALLY happy with the Blackline so far.
