Riding, towing, camping, etc.,
Ya'll can see that I edited my post after a couple of the first replies because I didn't want people to get the wrong idea about why I was asking.
I'm planning on attending the MB Rally with my girlfriend. When we were talking about it she assumed that we would trailer the bike down. That never even crossed my mind! I've got a Road King by gosh!

For the record, her butt has more mileson a bike, be it as a rider or passenger, than I'll probably ever put on a one so she's no slouch when it comes to riding.
She's probably a little bit apprehensive about riding with me because I'm basically new to riding and I don't hold that against her one bit. I told her that when shefelt comfortable riding with me then we'll do itbut notone second before.
I still can't stand the thought of trailering a measley 175 miles, heck I put 200 miles on it the day I rode out of the dealer's parking lot , and then another 250 two days later riding with Yoman.
I'm up to about 1500 miles now and feel pretty comforatable with it but I do get new surprizes and lessons every trip out. [:-]
The motel I have booked has first floor bike parking and top floor truck and trailer parking so there will be no worries about "tent sex" this time around!
Do you sit on the bike to load or stand beside it with it running to get up the ramps?
How do you strap it to keep from messing up the chrome?
My bike is a Road King Classic. I would rather ride it to MB but need to keep the peace so I'll tow it.
Thanks,
Snort
On the point of trailering, I see no reason to ride 200 miles with 800 things strapped to all parts of my bike and me, I drive the bike on the trailer, load the truck and when I get to my destination, I can jump on the bike and go for a nice long ride and enjoy my destinations attractions, when I'm ready to go back to the room or whatever, I then unload.
It would be so easy to just hit the starter and pull out of my driveway and head to the beach. That's why I bought it, everything else is so freakin' complicated these days.
Anyway, I hope to see ya'll there.
