Great ride with my daughter yesterday. Her first real ride 150 miles outside of the 20-30 mile shorties we go on. We did the Ride For Life brain tumor foundation ride from Nothpoint mall in Alpharetta,Ga. Kind of a wet start leaving the house early Sun morning but her enthusiasm was up. When we hit the mall she kinda wasshockedby the sight of what was probably 1800-2000 bikes. I think she's hooked cause she hasn't stopped talking about it today. On the ride up 400 she wouldn't sit still talking about how you could see bikes as far as she could see either way. Very well organized event, excellant route with only one minor mishap along the ride. Very humbling experience listening to the kids who have survived this devastating disease.Makes me feel extreamly lucky that we have two healthy kids.
Over $170,000.00 was raised yesterday and a new bike was given away. If your in the Atlanta area next June try to make this ride. It will be thier 25th annv. ride. Although the was my 1st one I will make this a yearly ride. To me a very worthy cause.
