Wanting to ride this weekend but being from Wilmington NC and not knowing what Mother natures up to with the front hanging out there guess we'll stay around here so we don't float away if something comes this way.
I was out there last weekend. I rode back roads from Columbia, SC the entire trip with only a pair of jeans and a t shirt on. That was quite a learning experience. I got rained on and froze my *** off with 60+ miles to go.. I figured it would be warm in late July/August. not quite..
Heading out in about an hour.. Hope I see ya up there SiL1Y! Be on the lookout for me, I have my avatar pic tattooed on my right upper arm!
You gonna be in Cherokee at the event or just up in the general area?
it night be a cold one, so be sure to bring your jackets.
I spend most every weekend in the mountains all year round. I never leave home without my fullface helmet, rain suit, jacket, electric vest even in June,July and August!
I was young and stupid once and that is enough for me............
LOL! Mother nature took care of the young part on her own, I'm still working on the second part !
Hows this sound ,,, a meeting at the little princess restaurant say 12 noon on saturday ..... and we'll see how many HD Forum members we can get at 1 place .....

What town would at least be nice" or some other little clue.........LOL"
There IS something going on in Maggie Valley this weekend too...at the fairgrounds. Bike show, vendors, bands...$15 bucks to get in for the entire weekend. This is NOT the Rally in the Valley. That is September 14-15.
Sorry I missed everyone, but had a terrible friday night, was headed up to Cherokee and the bike died had to load it up in the back off the truck and finally made it up to the cabin about 2am sleep in sat till about 11 got up and called around and couldn't find no one able to fix it. made it to the fair grounds and got the mechanic to look at it and low and behold the stator went bad and then to top it off he told me he had just bought the last one from waynesville that morning and installed in another Dyna so it got to stay on the back of the truck but we manged to make the best of it enjoyed the concerts and took lots of pics
many witch can't be posted here. hopefully will catch up with ya'll at the fall rally at the beach.
