I want to thank everyone that assited in the planning and running of the HOG rally in Knoxville. Especially the Demo rides, as my wife was like a kid in a candy store. First, let me say my wife if 5' 2" and presently rides a Honda Shadow. Well, she drove a Deluxe, Low Rider, and a Fat Boy. The last bike she drove was the Fat Boy, and I think she thought she was the Terminator. She really had fun on the Fat Boy, even punched by me taking off at lights, and leaned in the curves like her Honda. Her only complaint was how much heat she felt from the engines compared to her Honda. I just said welcome to the world of driving a Harley..moco are you listening. I rode whatever was available so she could ride the bike of her choice. So, I rode similar bikes, and a sportster, definitely to old for a sportster, glad I have an Ultra Classic, you just can't beat the FLH line. I was bummed I didn't get to ride the Road Glide. The line to ride the touring bikes were the longest. But, the wife had a blast driving, and I can forsee the Honda going away one of these days.
Even with the heat everyone was nice to talk to and enjoyable, expecially the misting tents that some women turned into a wet t-shirt contest.
Again thanks to all, and the drill teams were assume, especially Bruce Rosemeyers group. WOW!!!
