Installed a new set of Rush slip ons this weekend and LOVE UM'. Loud but very deep tone. Rode about 120 miles today and can't say enough about how great they sound.
This is really off topic but it is a local thing... so here goes.
Good buddy of mine just bought an '06 Super Glide with 4000 miles from a guy here in B'ham area. 1st full day he has it, it starts making an awful noise that sounds like a lifter or valve. Heart of Dixie has it now. Such a bummer for him because they are backed up for 3 weeks.
Question: The guy he bought it from never even broke the cellophane off the owners manual. Turns out he was putting regular unleaded in tank. Could the sudden change in fuel octane levels be responsible?
Decatur here. I am still in Germany ATM 1 August I will be out of the service so then riding is the name of the game, and work I guess, so let me know I will be ready to ride when I get home.
Booger I thought about the Rush mufflers, but now I'm leaning towards the Supertrapp SE's. I don't want loud anymore, I just want low and mellow.
E1 and lawhd, hope to see you around somewhere in the area.
Lawhd, almost all of the independent shops have gone under. I have a mechanic close to me in Chelsea that does great work. He's Harley certified and trained. He works out of his home, and he's very reasonable on price.
